New Jersey Family Leave Act (NJFLA)

The New Jersey state Family Leave Act (NJFA) grants eligible employees up to 12 weeks of unpaid job-protected leave in a 24 month period for certain family and medical reasons. The leave may be taken in cases of birth or adoption of a child, or serious illness of a parent, child, spouse, or civil union partner.
